Biography
Since 2017, Stavros has dedicated himself entirely to music, collaborating with symphony orchestras and ensembles in Greece and abroad as a conductor, composer, and orchestrator. His collaborations include Essex Philharmonic, West Balkans Symphony Orchestra, Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra, National Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Children’s Youth Symphony Orchestra by Nina Patrikidou, among others.
For five years, he was an active member of the percussion section in the Children's Youth Symphony Orchestra, directed by Nina Patrikidou. During this time, he also worked as an orchestrator, encouraged by the conductor to explore this role. He is currently studying orchestral conducting under the guidance of Maestro George Papadopoulos and focusing on composition, particularly inspired by the works of Danny Elfman and John Adams.
Since 2022, he has been working closely with the renowned saxophonist Dionysis Roussos, contributing to the research and creation of new saxophone repertoire. Simultaneously, he has been composing original music for concerts, documentaries, and theatrical productions, including Arsenic and Old Lace, 8 Women, Cinderella and 7 Reasonable Answers. He also enjoys collaborating with amateur groups to bring creative projects to life.
Stavros’s core principle is to contribute to the music community with respect and sincerity, striving for continuous growth and meaningful contributions through his art.
“I don’t think you can be a great composer unless you have a feeling for harmony”
